i juz came back home from East Coast Park. Went to stay overnight at East Coast Park cos there will be Orionids! A kind of meteor from the constellation, Orion.

I went to meet Meiling at Woodlands control station first, den we went to Shop n Save to buy tidbits and drinks. After tat we headed to the Lecture Theatre to meet jp and ppl from other schools.

After a while, we boarded the bus and off we go! whee! xD

When we reached ECP, the sky condition was REALLY bad! too cloudy. So we went to rent bikes first. Meiling and i rented a double bike. and we cycled happily to another location, while the others cycled to the campsite. hehes. my butts was really pain! haiz..

After tat, we went to the mac to eat our dinner, and i used my points to redeem a Big Mac for jp, cos he oso haven eaten yet. After eating we headed to our campsite, which is located at Area D. I really love tat place! No light pollution, and i can see the stars quite clearly.

As time passed, the clouds got dispersed, and we could see some stars already. So Meiling and i cycled to Bedok Jetty and view the stars. Over there, i saw lots of stars! but not as clear as wat i saw in Area D. And for the first time, i spotted Pleiades myself with naked eyes! i was so shocked to see Pleiades with naked eyes in Singapore. I oso spotted Taurus juz beside Pleiades.

We decided to head back to our campsite for a better view in those constellations. =) When we reached our campsite, we used the telescope to view Pleiades, and Mars. We could not really see the surface of the Mars cos it was too far away, but i could see the orangy thingy. hahas. Well, i really missed viewing Jupiter and Saturn. Haiz..

Anyways, we lied down on the groundsheet so tat we do not have to lift up our head. When it was passed 2am, i saw some meteors flew pass. They were really nice! During the peak, i saw another meteor, this one was different from the normal meteors. It was green in colour, and very bright. The moment it flew pass, all of us said "wow" loudly. LOLs. and it was more than a "WOW" to me.

Really thank God for the sky condition. cos we onli have to focus on Orion, and around Orion, there was a lot of clouds, juz tat the part we were focusing was really cleared! I will never forget this day, and i'm sure tat it will leave a great impression on me! cos i've never seen so many meteors in a night, with such a bad sky condition, and i oso get to see an unique meteor. =D
