I was bitten by my laboratory rodent yesterday morning, and my finger was bleeding profusely. I really couldnt stop the bleeding. The rat made 2 deep markings on my finger, so my blood just flowed out from the 2 markings. No matter how hard i press my wound, it just couldnt stop flowing. Once i stopped pressing, it gushed out like nobody's business. So I pressed my finger all the way from NUS to my lab. Put down the cage, and pressed all the way to 7-eleven to buy plasters. I saw an anti-bacterial wet wipes, so i thought i would have to buy it too.

I called Jeremy and told him abt it. He asked me to better see a doctor. Even though I had a tetanus shot, there still could be a slight risk of getting the disease from the rat. So i went to see a doc at the staff clinic, and was given some packets of Chlorhex wash, antibiotic cream, and some antibiotics for me to take after complete full course.

Went out with my bro and his fiancée after work. After dinner we went to her hse. On the way we saw several cats. And I have this phobia of seeing cats now. Whenever i see them, i will not dare to look into their eyes. I was so scared that they will jump onto me and scratch me. On our way home, i saw cats too. And i really sped up by trying not to look at it. They're just so.... scary...

After this incident, i think i've became a scaredy cat.. i'm really scared of picking up the rats, and now.. i'm even starting to be scared of cats... i wonder how am i going to survive the nxt 3 months with this fear.
